As the global energy mix accelerates its transition to green and low-carbon, the photovoltaic industry is witnessing unprecedented development opportunities as a key force of clean energy. The traditional warehousing model struggles to meet the requirements for efficient storage, rapid sorting, and safe transportation of precision products such as solar cells. The transformation to an intelligent and green model is urgently needed.
As a leading company in the photovoltaic power generation solutions industry, the customer in Yangzhou planned to build a 20GW solar cell production base. The customer collaborated with Wayzim to develop an efficient and intelligent warehousing system to meet the rapidly growing business demands.
The project covers an area of 333,330 ㎡, including two core sections: the finished goods AS/RS and battery raw material AS/RS. Faced with the challenges of high-precision storage requirement, high-flow inbound and outbound operations, and limited space, Wayzim tailored the Shuttle AS/RS and Stacker Crane Multi-level AS/RS. Intelligent scheduling and automated conveying equipment were used for the seamless integration of warehousing and production, helping the customer reduce warehousing operation costs and achieving the green transformation in warehousing management.
The Pallet Four-way Shuttles in the finished goods AS/RS and the Double-reach Pallet Stacker Cranes in the raw material AS/RS support the flexible switching between inbound and outbound modes, and can dynamically respond to various complex operation scenarios such as inbound and outbound operations, centralised inbound operations, and centralised outbound operations at the same time, which significantly improves the efficiency and flexibility of material handling.
The conveying end uses the roller conveyor with a large supporting surface. This design can effectively protect the cargo carrier units (totes, boxes, and pallets), avoid material damage during transportation, prolong the service life of these key logistics equipment, and reduce the replacement frequency and maintenance costs.
A 3D monitoring system (3DMS) is used to provide 3D visual effects and allow the customer to monitor and manage automated equipment in an all-round way. When the equipment breaks down, the system can quickly locate the problem and provide fault information, thus reducing downtime and improving equipment operation efficiency.
Wayzim conducted a site survey based on the customer’s needs. Based on the storage requirements of products with different characteristics, Wayzim customised two automated warehousing solutions.

Through the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Control System (WCS), and 3DMS, this solution uses advanced technologies such as computer control, network, data communication, and automatic information identification to realise mechanised receiving and dispatching, three-dimensional storage unit, and digitalised warehouse management. This meets the customer’s needs for long-term operation.
Driven by global carbon neutrality goals, the photovoltaic industry is rapidly developing. As a core link in its supply chain, intelligent warehousing is quietly driving the industry’s green transformation. Wayzim focuses on intelligent warehousing and integrates cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and big data to create more efficient, flexible, and sustainable integrated warehousing and distribution solutions.
Wayzim looks forward to cooperating with more customers to jointly promote the intelligent upgrade of the global new energy supply chain and contribute to the construction of a clean and low-carbon new energy ecosystem.
